Levedy - medieval vocal trio

An exiled Geordie, Yvonne Eddy studied music at the University of Manchester and at the Schola Cantorum in Basel, Switzerland, where her teachers included Kathleen Dineen and Evelyn Tubb.  Now based in London, she sings regularly with several professional church choirs including St Bride’s Fleet Street and the Grosvenor Chapel, and is continuing her vocal studies with Stefan Haselhoff in Basel.  Yvonne directs the medieval vocal ensemble Levedy and has performed across Europe with the ensembles Mediva, Le Basile and Vox Animae.  She also performs more modern repertoire with the choirs Philharmonia Voices, Sarum Voices and Laudate and occasionally ventures into big band territory as a baritone saxophone player.
 
Lorenza Donadini comes from Ticino in southern Switzerland and gained a Masters degree in Musicology from the University of Basel, studying with Professors Joseph Willimann and Wulf Arlt.  She began her solo vocal studies with Richard Levitt and continued with Kathleen Dineen and Dominique Vellard at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, where she completed her diploma in January 2007.  She is now studying bel canto with Stefan Haselhoff.  Lorenza performs regularly as a soloist and sings with several early music ensembles including ensemble Peregrina, Ensemble Leones and Levedy; she is also a member of the Coro della Radio Svizzera Italiana.  In 2003 she founded her own ensemble Perlaro, a group specialising in Italian music of the Trecento and Quattrocento.
 
Estonian soprano Eve Kopli began her musical career as a violinist, studying at the Estonian Music Academy.  After graduating, she moved to Switzerland to study Medieval and Renaissance music as a singer at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis with Kathleen Dineen and Dominique Vellard.  She completed her vocal diploma in June 2007, graduating with honours.  Eve performs regularly throughout Europe with many early music ensembles including La Morra, Heinavanker, Levedy and Rondellus.  Her repertoire also includes Baroque and contemporary music and she is in increasing demand as a soloist.
